How we work
The production of your bespoke cabinetry is a staged process that starts when you first contact DBJ. Your plans are refined through collaborative design meetings leading to the presentation of concepts, pricing and finalisation of details customised to suit your unique design. We then project manage your job, undertaking site measures, production, and installation before sign-off. Throughout this process we keep you and your design professionals informed of progress and liaise with you or your nominated representative to confirm installation schedules.

DBJ has a collaborative design style. When we meet with you, alongside any of your design professionals, we discuss your project brief, your timeline and your individual design requirements. We pay close attention to your vision. Following this, you will then be presented with a formal quote. Once this is approved along with our Terms & Conditions, it is entered into our programming to meet our construction timeline.
You will receive full working drawings of your project, and together we will refine any details that are required. Our drawings detail all sizes, materials, appliances and special details relevant to the project. If required we also provide you with samples, then we issue a final set of drawings for you to sign off.
DBJ creates your bespoke cabinetry in our 100% New Zealand-owned, environmentally-friendly facility in Auckland. We use CAD and CNC technologies, combined with the fine hand-craftsmanship skills of highly-qualified trades people. Throughout this process we will continue with site visits and liaising with on-site builders and your design professionals.
DBJ has its own in-house team of professional installers, who install all DBJ cabinetry to our exacting standards. The installation will take approximately 3–5 days per cabinetry item, depending on project size and building completion.
Your project is formally signed-off when production and installation quality standards have been met. We appreciate the opportunity to create your ideal spaces that will enhance your lifestyle.
